May 3, 2025

Annual Member Meeting at 2:30 ET

Presentation at 3:00pm ET

Join us to hear Susan Van Allen discuss “Safeguard Your Legacy: Protect Your Genealogical Work and Family Heirlooms”.

You may be working to protect your research, photographs, and original documents from high humidity, hurricanes, power surges, and wayward movers, but what about for the next generation? In this engaging session, we'll explore the often-overlooked but deeply meaningful task of incorporating genealogical assets—such as family trees, heirlooms, photographs, DNA results, and historical documents—into your estate planning. Learn how to safeguard your family's story for future generations, ensure access to digital records, and designate responsible stewards for your research. Whether you're a seasoned genealogist or just beginning to trace your roots, this presentation will provide practical steps to preserve your legacy beyond the financial.

In addition to other involvement, Susan serves as a Board Council member of NEHGS, and as President and Trustee of the Parke [Family] Society.
