War of 1812
Bounty Land Records & Digitization Project
All Are Welcome
Saturday March 7th from 3-5pm ET
The War of 1812 was an era full of transition for our infant government. Those who fought were part of what was known then as the "Second Revolution." This lecture covers the records available from the federal government created by veterans and their heirs which span multiple generations and involved whole communities. We will also learn about the project to digitize the most valuable of these records: the Bounty Land Application Files.
