Pam Ricciardi Paschke has been researching family history since she was a teenager, and is the author of The South Precinct of Dutchess County New York 1740-1790, and a few articles appearing in genealogical journals. Besides attending NGS conferences over the years, she has in the past 5 years attended fourteen SLIG, IGHR, GRIP, and Gen-Fed institutes - including two week-long Advanced DNA seminars by Blaine Bettinger and CeCe Moore. Pam presently serves as volunteer administrator for four FTDNA projects, and is in the middle of taking the All DNA Virtual Practicum through SLIG. Having used DNA to help friends (and family) identify unknown parents and other ancestors and relationships, she is excited to discuss the uses of the different DNA tests and some benefits and drawbacks of the major DNA testing companies.
